The IPL Skin Rejuvenation Experience

When it comes to cosmetic procedures, IPL skin rejuvenation is among the easiest for patients to experience. You will relax on one of our comfortable treatment beds while your provider uses our IPL device to focus light energy on the target area.

IPL skin rejuvenation can treat virtually any part of the body, including the:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Chest
  • Arms
  • Hands

Just prior to treatment, you will receive a topical gel, both to protect the skin and to keep the skin cooler and more comfortable. No anesthesia is required during IPL skin rejuvenation in our Boston office, and the treatment takes around 30 minutes.

Hand Rejuvenation with IPL

One of the areas of body that most betrays the signs of aging is the hands. If you feel your hands are unsightly, whether from crepey skin, age spots, or other signs of aging, the providers at Montilla Plastic Surgery can help you get relief with IPL skin rejuvenation. After anywhere between 1 to 3 treatments with IPL, the skin on the hands will restore its youthful shimmer, with telltale signs of aging drastically reduced. Call our offices in the Greater Boston Area or Worcester to learn more about our Worcester hand rejuvenation treatment with IPL.

Who is a Good Candidate for IPL Skin Rejuvenation?

Because IPL skin rejuvenation is mild in nature, it is available to a broad range of patients. It is gentle, rapid, and requires very little downtime. It is perfect for patients seeking gentle treatment that effectively reduces freckles, age spots, sun damage, and a bevy of other skin conditions. It also helps reduce enlarged pores or wrinkles.

Recovery from IPL Skin Rejuvenation

For the most part, patients can resume their normal activities immediately following IPL skin rejuvenation. Your skin will have a slightly sunburnt appearance for a couple days, but you will experience minimal discomfort. If you underwent IPL on your face, you may see some puffiness around the eyes or swelling in the cheeks. It is helpful to sleep with your head elevated during the first several nights after treatment. We also advise that you apply an ice pack to the treated area for 15 minutes on and off for several hours after treatment.
